About
The State of Berlin offers cultural exchange grants for residencies in Istanbul, Tokyo, New York, and Paris for 2027/28. These grants aim to support the artistic development of professionally active artists by enabling them to gain an understanding of the local culture, study the art scene, build networks, and realize an artistic project. Partner institutes provide studios or studio apartments for the duration of the residency. Specific grants are available for visual artists in Istanbul, New York, and Tokyo, and for musicians/composers, visual artists, literature artists, dance artists, and comic artists in Paris. Applicants must reside and work in Berlin and demonstrate an established artistic practice.
