2026 Call for Applications for “AIR – Artists in Residency”

The “AIR – Artists in Residency” project, conceived by Italian Jazz Musicians (MIDJ) with financial support from SIAE, aims to create a network of artistic residencies in collaboration with Italian Cultural Institutes, Embassies, and Consulates worldwide. The project is designed for young and talented jazz musicians aged 18 to 40, encouraging compositional activity and the creation of new repertoire. Participating musicians will have the opportunity for a four-week residency to engage with the international jazz scene, fostering exchange and cross-fertilization. The program offers significant personal and professional growth through contacts with local artists and shared experiences with other residents. Italian Cultural Institutes, Embassies, and Consulates will provide hospitality for a free four-week stay between January and October 2027.
